Woman dead, 5-year-old child among 3 injured after Limestone County crash [Video]

A woman was killed and three people were injured, including a 5-year-old child, following a two-vehicle wreck Thursday in Limestone County, authorities said Friday.

Isenalande Senat, 29, of Athens, was taken to Athens Hospital after the 2012 Dodge Avenger she was a passenger in was struck by a 2018 Dodge Ram around 12:35 p.m. Thursday, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

Senat, who was not using a seat belt at the time of the wreck about five miles south of Athens on Malone Road near Lucas Ferry Road, died of her injuries at the hospital.

The driver of the Avenger and another passenger in the vehicle were injured and taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

A 5-year-old child who was also in the Avenger and was unrestrained in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
