Wife shot, killed husband, 8-year-old before turning gun on herself, deputies say [Video]

ALBANY, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – A woman in Louisiana shot and killed her husband along with an 8-year-old before turning the gun on herself, according to authorities.

Investigators said the fatal shooting happened late Friday night or early Saturday morning at a home.

Authorities learned about the situation after a family member was having trouble getting in touch with the couple, WAFB reported.

Their bodies were discovered Monday morning.

Deputies identified the wife as Jenny Williamson and the husband as Steven Williamson. Both were 49 years old.

The child was living in the home where the apparent murder/suicide happened, the sheriff said.

The apparent murder/suicide was not random, and the situation is contained and confined, deputies said.

The investigation is ongoing.
