A White House insider has blown the whistle on Joe Biden‘s health, claiming aides had known for months the US President would struggle on the campaign trail amid growing health concerns.
Mr Biden exacerbated existing fears over his cognitive state after appearing confused and slurring his speech as he took on Donald Trump in the first presidential debate ahead of November’s vote.
The White House blamed a cold that had “started to hit his stride” for the 81-year-old’s poor performance.
And while Mr Biden appeared to be much more reactive during his first rally speech right after the debate, doubts have remained over his ability to serve another four-year term.
Former White House deputy director of photography Chandler West is among those insisting that “it’s time for Joe to go.”
