Lynchburg residents came out to support and celebrate cancer survivors and caregivers Friday at this year’s Relay for Life of Greater Lynchburg event. The relay, hosted by the American Cancer Society, took place at Lynchburg’s City Stadium. Established in 1985, Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, dedicated to supporting the fight against all types of cancer. It is celebrated in 35 countries across six continents, uniting survivors and supporters worldwide.
