PARSONS, W.Va (WDTV) – The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center will partner to hold a town hall meeting for veterans and the public.

The purpose of the town hall is to provide feedback and recommendations for VA programs, organizers said.

The town hall will take place next Thursday, June 13 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Tucker County Senior Citizen Center in Parsons and is the first of a summer series that the VA Medical Center is holding in North Central West Virginia.

The meeting will have two parts. In the first, officials will discuss healthcare eligibility expansion under the 2024 Pact Act revisions along with the foster home program and toxic exposure screenings. The second half will be an open forum where anyone can speak.

Representatives and enrollment specialists will be there to assist veterans, as well, organizers said.
