USPS mail carrier speaks out on attempted robbery after recent postal worker robberies [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Following several robberies of mail carriers in North Carolina, a Charlotte USPS mail carrier shared her story of an attempted robbery in an effort to plead for added safety measures.

“Enough is enough. Leave us alone. We’re just here to do our work and go home to our family safely,” begged USPS mail carrier Marshun Brooks.

Brooks previously spoke to WBTV when she was suspended from work after calling 911 while she was having a medical emergency.

But she said in 2021, she stopped at a gas station for a bathroom break while on her route. When she unlocked her truck and got back in the driver’s seat, someone opened the back door.

“I heard my back door open. So I peeked my head around the corner and there was a man standing there,” recalled Brooks.

A witness told Charlotte Mecklenburg Police that the man tried to get inside her truck multiple times.
