On Saturday at 6:09 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flood watch in effect until 8 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.

The weather service describes, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible.”

“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas,” describes the weather service. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
