Maui takes a major step forward toward housing residents displaced from the Lahaina fires. Hundreds are still living in hotels but now doors to permanent housing are opening up. To help get more of those residents into more permanent housing, a groundbreaking took place in Lahaina Tuesday, where hundreds of new units will go up — while in Maui Lani, a new community is being built and one displaced family is the first to move in.
