Tips for Caregiving With Other Family Members [Video]

When we think about the stresses caused by caregiving we don’t immediately think about family. In reality, family members can often cause caregiving stress even when they truly don’t mean to be causing stress for other caregiving family members.

Kelly Augspurger spoke to Todd Keitz about why other family members are often over-looked as caregiving stressors and the steps to be able to deal with certain family situations in the best way possible, to limit the amount of stress these family situations can cause for a caregiver.

2️⃣ There is no blueprint for communicating well, but there needs to be good quality communications between family members.

3️⃣ Setting expectations, boundaries, and limits can be very important in the communication process.

4️⃣ Asking for help from other family members can alleviate stress and equalize the burden felt by caregivers.
