The National Automobile Museum opens Childrens Educational Activity Center [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) –The National Automobile Museum opened the E.L. Wiegand Children’s Educational Activity Center June 28.

“We needed a children’s section in the museum to keep the museum carrying on,” says Sponsor for the Education Center Adam Webster.

It features multiple different learning activity station’s including a virtual build-a-race-car design, the physical car building workshop, a virtual speedway, and interactive wiring and car wash activities.

CEO and Chairman of the E.L. Wiegand Foundation, Skip Avansino says that he thinks this is his favorite station:

“I think in the back there is a place where you can build an automobile. I think I might take my grandson because I think he would really enjoy it.”

Each station has descriptions on how cars work: like gravity, inertia, and thrust/drag forces, but this education isn’t just for the little ones:
