“That’s very concerning.” Customers react to Duke Energy’s request rate increase | News [Video]

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Some potentially disappointing news for your wallet as Duke Energy is asking for an overall average bill increase.

The request was filed with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. If it’s approved, your bill could increase by 16% over the next few years.

News 10 reached out to our viewers about this. Most shared they are very concerned with this potential increase.

“That’s a big increase, especially being a college student, that’s very concerning, and living kinda by monthly paychecks, it’s kinda hard to hear 16%,” said Carlie jensen, Duke Energy customer.
