Targeting Mitochondrial Function to Treat Alzheimer’s Disease | Dr. Benedict C. Albensi

In the June edition of our Research Seminar Series, Dr. Benedict C. Albensi presents groundbreaking research on mitochondrial function and its pivotal role in Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Albensi provides an overview of his lab’s projects, focusing on how mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to Alzheimer’s. He highlights disturbances in brain metabolism and mitochondrial functions, the importance of sex differences, and the role of the inflammatory mediator NF Kappa B.

Join Dr. Albensi to explore innovative therapies, including computational modeling, dietary interventions, and drug treatments, aimed at improving patient care in Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
