Former Strictly Come Dancing star Annabel Croft has thanked fans for their support as she shared a snippet into her grief journey. The 57-year-old lost her husband, Mel Coleman, last year when he was aged 60 to a short battle with cancer.

He died just 16 weeks after recieving the devastating diagnosis. Now Annabel has marked the first anniversary of Mel’s death with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

The social media post included some snaps showcasing their memories together. There was a throwback picture to their younger days as well as a photo showing them sat in an empty van, another with their family enjoying what seemed to be a sunny holiday and a loving picture of the couple staring into each others eyes.

Annabel captioned the post: “1 year today. Miss you so much. Thank you to everyone for your love and support.” She finished the post off with a red love heart …
