This is one family’s story chronicling their experience of caring for their loved one with dementia. The story is told by a few family members, but belongs to the entire family. If every person were to tell it, there would, of course, be many variations, but the common threads of pain, gratitude, awe, and the fierce and powerful love of a family matriarch would hold them all together.
