SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Springdale man has been arrested for drug trafficking, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.

Latrell Richmond, 28, was arrested for trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine and other substances on June 26. In addition to drug trafficking, Richmond also faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, illegal possession of a firearm and numerous other drug possession related charges.

Detectives began their investigation on June 25 following tips about drug activity at a Springdale residence, according to the news release.

A subsequent search warrant led to the seizure of approximately 2.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 3,136 suspected fraudulent fentanyl pills, a firearm and $1,550 in cash from the location.
