Sheriffs office investigating break-in at Hickman pharmacy [Video]

HICKMAN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at a Hickman pharmacy early Saturday morning.

An unknown person broke into the front door of Meadowlark Pharmacy in Hickman sometime between 3-3:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said. The person reportedly attempted to crawl on the floor to avoid motion detection but failed.

The sheriff’s office said the person tried to find the narcotics shelf and remove the safe from the back room but was unsuccessful. No items were stolen but damage to the business was $1,000. Security video will not be released at this time, LSO said.

This is the second time Meadowlark Pharmacy was broken into in recent years, the last time was on Oct. 6, 2021. The sheriff’s office said in that burglary, $2,500 worth of drugs were stolen.
