Learn how Nursing Home Medicaid differs from Community Medicaid, and what the rules for Nursing Home Medicaid eligibility are. The presentation will cover issues related to income for the Nursing Home resident, and if there is one, how that relates to a spouse’s income. We will discuss having an aide in the Nursing Home. You will learn how people can protect a good portion of their assets, even if no planning was done before nursing home care is needed. The underutilized Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) program will also be explained. This is important information, even if you or your loved one does not currently need nursing home care.
