Nurse charged with stealing prescription pills from seniors [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The love Brent Deitsch has for his 89-year-old mother Marilyn is a thing of beauty.

So, you can only imagine how he must have felt when he learned that she was being taken advantage of.

“We definitely felt violated and unsafe and to be honest there were times when we were concerned about the caregiving,” Deitsch said.

Not only did Marilyn suffer a stroke, but she also had to have a hip replacement and was living at the oaks at Suwanee Creek when she realized some of her pain medication was missing.

“It was oxycodone. I’m not sure of the strength, but she had a hip replacement back in October of 2022,” Deitsch said.

It turns out she wasn’t the only one complaining of missing medication. The Suwanee Police Department launched an investigation and arrested Terri Howell, a nurse at the facility, and charged …
