Norton Healthcare to focus on men’s health with MENergy event on Saturday | Morning [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Norton Healthcare is putting its focus on men’s health with an event happening Saturday.

MENergy is an event where people can learn about men’s heart health, mental wellness, diabetes and the importance of early disease detection. There will be a panel discussion with community leaders and health professionals where you will be able to ask any questions you may have.

Clinical Social Worker Jonathon White joined WDRB Mornings on Friday to talk more about the upcoming event.

“We want all men to come out to this event and learn how to practice wellness to prevent illness,” White said.

MENergy will also feature blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, hands-only CPR instruction and education of heart health, diabetes, stroke, and colon cancer.

Recruiters will also be on site to discuss job opportunities at the new Norton West Louisville Hospital.

The event is 1-3 p.m. June 1 at the Chestnut Street Family YMCA on the sixth floor in the ballroom. Light snacks will be provided.
