Noah Blair is no sizzle, all steak.

The Millard West senior is a throwback of sorts, the type of person that enjoys the process every bit as much as the results.

And there have been plenty of results to enjoy.

Blair enters the state tournament beginning Thursday at the CHI Health Center looking to become the most decorated wrestler in Wildcat history.

No other Millard West wrestler has ever had a medal haul that included four total and three golds.

“If everything goes right,” Millard West coach Scott Townsley said, “he’s going to walk out of here as the best wrestler we’ve ever had.”

But it’s the way he goes about it — namely, the same way every day — that makes the Princeton recruit so impressive.

It shows up most, Townsley said, when people are watching the least.
