Miracle league opening day honors legacy of local coach [Video]

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The Miracle League and YMCA of Wichita Falls will kick off the spring season with opening day ceremonies.

Opening day was also an occasion to pay tribute to the remarkable life and legacy of a cherished coach, Ralf Taylor, the son of Wichita Falls City Councilor Tom Taylor

“His granddaughter, and Ralf was a coach on her team, The Rangers, and he made an impact. Matter-of-fact he made an impact all through his life wherever he went,” Councilor Taylor said.

Ralf was described as a man whose enthusiasm uplifted players and families alike, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every child could thrive.

“These children and young adults who had no opportunities, in the past had no opportunity to play Baseball, to run races, and the community through the YMCA has reached out and created the Miracle League here,” Councilor Taylor said.
