MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Walking is an excellent aerobic workout option for seniors looking to boost their activity levels.

As the weather warms up, many older individuals want to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Walking daily provides health advantages such as increased sleep, controlled mental health, a lower chance of cardiovascular issues, and an overall higher quality of life.

A recent study discovered that older persons who regularly walked for 12 weeks had better brain function than those who were sedentary.

This discovery adds to prior research suggesting that exercise can decrease aging in both the brain and the body, lowering the chance of dementia.
