Lucy Morgan remembered for her loving spirit after fatal Maine badminton accident [Video]

Lucy Morgan, a 6-year-old girl who died earlier this month as a result of a badminton accident in Maine, is being remembered for her “loving spirit” that “touched the hearts of all who knew her.”

“Though her time on earth was short, her impact has been profound as her story has circulated. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends,” her obituary reads.

On June 1, the Morgan family was staying at a lakeside cottage in Limmerick when a badminton racket Lucy and her siblings were playing with broke in “a freak accident,” causing a metal tube from the handle to become lodged in her head.

Lucy was rushed to a hospital and later flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Portland. But after a few days, it became clear that she was braindead, and her family decided to take her off life-support.
