Lakeville High Honor Society hosts “game day” fundraiser for veterans | Local [Video]

OTISVILLE, Mich. (WJRT)- A group of Mid-Michigan high schoolers opted for some old-school fun to support veterans.

The National Honor Society of LakeVille High in Otisville hosted a “game day” fundraiser on Saturday.

Families showed up not for video games, but for good-old board games and cards.

The event was hosted in memory of World War II Navy Veteran Bob Main- himself an avid Euchre player.

Attendees also wore red in honor of deployed Americans.

“We wanted to support the veterans with the Strength in Numbers group and we also wanted to bring up the memory of Bob Main who was a veteran,” said Jayla Thompson, secretary for Lakeville’s NHS.
