Six years later, he looks unrecognisable. The ITV actor has been starring in a UK theatre production of My Fair Lady, which required him to switch up his style.
Now, his new rugged look has seen him grow a long, bushy white beard. In a snap on the show’s Instagram page, he was seen donning a navy shirt with a matching cardigan, and jeans standing alongside his co-star.
The silver fox’s hair appeared to be slightly longer, complimenting his new facial hair look. His appearance is worlds away from his time in the village.
For two decades John played the role of the soft-spoken vicar who was married to Laurel Potts (Charlotte Bellamy). However, John’s time was up on the show back in 2017 after his character faced a long battle with dementia.
