AILBHE DAVOREN works at one of Ireland’s top rugby factories but she is maul about her life as a Galway footballer.
Davoren is a teacher at St Andrew’s College in Dublin — which has produced past and present professionals such as Andrew Porter, Jordan Larmour, Felix Jones and Peter Bracken.
Yet football is her passion and she is still going strong in her eighth season on the senior inter-county scene.
And the summer holidays will allow her to stay closer to home to follow her dream.
Davoren said: “That’s what makes living in Dublin a bit more doable.
“The fact that I do have summer holidays to come home to and commit fully to the team.
“Even just having extra time to look at extra shooting or whatever, it’s just brilliant.
