Hassinas story, paying it forward [Video]

I am always inspired by stories of perseverance and strength. There are so many of those stories within the refugee community.

Hassina Adam’s story in her voice:

“I was born in Uganda but raised in South Africa. I currently work in the legal field, and my passion for this industry stems from childhood experiences accompanying my mother to legal consultations with human rights lawyers to secure a future for us, and to protect us from repatriation. To my younger self, I would say I understand the uncertainty surrounding our immigration status is causing you to feel unsure about the future. It is natural to feel this way, but I want you to remember something important — you are resilient.”
