Grant aims to put counselors in schools [Video]

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) -1.3 million dollars has been awarded to MSU Texas and looks to fill the need for a shortage of councilors.

This grant will go towards their Project School Mental Health.

Doctor Wendy Helmcamp applied for that grant and said that this is a game changer for so many.

This project will pay for the education and extras for 12 clinical mental health graduate students, so as you can imagine Dr. Helmcamp was thrilled to receive the news after applying last year.

“For me, it’s a dream come true because like I said we need more counselors in the schools.
