Goodwill Gulf Coast cuts the ribbon on newly improved Kaleidoscope Adult Day Program [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Say hello to the newly improved Kaleidoscope Adult Day Program.

The program does an amazing job of giving participants the daytime care they need to experience active, fulfilling lives. It also allows caregivers to maintain jobs outside of the home to support their families.

Over the past six months, the program has gone through a major expansion that has doubled its physical space to serve more adults with special needs.

“We wanted to create a happy place—a place where we can nurture one another. Let people be the person that God created them to be and let them be themselves. And that’s happening here,” President Frank Harkins said.

The upgraded space features an exercise room and a game room.

80 percent of families who participate say they would not be able to work without the program serving as the care provider for their family members.
