To mark the start of Dementia Action week, we’d love to introduce you to the 5 families in our new film.

They are just some of the thousands who have discovered – perhaps by accident – that music can help when you are living with dementia.

Decades of research show music can help with dementia symptoms such as anxiety and agitation but without the side effects of drugs.

It can also bring moments of joy and connection.

And for family carers, who may themselves feel lost and isolated, music can provide a boost when they need it most.

Music is not a magic wand – but the right music at the right time – can be enough to turn the day around.
