Fort Knox hosts Superhero Day for families | Local News [Video]

PROSPECT — It’s not every day that Fort Knox is filled with superheroes, but on Saturday, heroes big and small came together for some family fun. The event is part of a series of activities at Fort Knox this summer.

“We’re doing things differently than we’ve done before, we have displays, we have a lot more living history, so there’s a lot of opportunities to fall in love with Fort Knox again,” shared Dean Martin, Friends of Fort Knox Director. 

Superhero day allows families a chance to have fun while appreciating an iconic piece of Maine’s history. “This is a slice of Maine history, exactly, and it’s still standing, and it’s something you can walk through,” Martin added. 

Kids in attendance participated in scavenger hunts and superhero activities. Groups of cosplayers from the Maine Cosplay Extravaganza came clad in classic superhero attire to give little ones a more memorable experience.
