Flood watch affecting part of Pennsylvania Saturday and Sunday [Video]

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch at 2:53 p.m. on Friday valid from Saturday 8 a.m. until Sunday 2 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Indiana counties.

The weather service says, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.”

“Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded,” states the weather service. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
