Disaster aid advice for Love County storm victims – KTEN [Video]

MARIETTA, Okla. (KTEN) — The American Red Cross is hosting a Multi-Agency Resource Fair here at the Love County Fairgrounds for county taxpayers who were heavily impacted by severe storms late last month.

“I’m just so grateful…so grateful.”

The resource fair, or M.A.R.C. for short, has made stops in Ardmore, Sulphur, and Marietta, offering help to all who were affected by the storms on April 27th.

“Some of it is financial.” Said Senior Disaster Program Manager Mary Jane Coffman. “We have people who are here to provide emotional support, spiritual care, we have people who specialize in helping if people have a housing need or perhaps with having lost a job.”

Storm victims, like Gloria Ramos recounted their experiences on that dreadful night.

“The sound of it when it came through…was awful. It just, it shook our apartments. We all took shelter and everything and afterwards it just…it was devastating.”
