Dell Rapids honoring Jamie Monroe, supporting family [Video]

DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Last week, a two-vehicle accident near Dell Rapids left one woman dead. On Friday, the community continued to honor the memory of Jamie Monroe as they grieved together and supported the family.

While Jamie lived in Jasper, Minnesota, her heart was in Dell Rapids. She gained a reputation for being a loving and giving person, which left an impact on a number of lives.

“She was the friend that I could always truly be myself with like she was so welcoming,” said Melissa Tripp, who was friends with Jamie for eight years.

Melissa actually had Jamie on her podcast not too long before the car accident.

Jamie showed selflessness and her joyful personality wherever she went. Her friends said that giving to others was what made her happy, so she looked for ways to do that with her career and for her family.
