Daughters of Gooseberry Hill stabbing victim show kindness to man who allegedly left mum fighting for life [Video]

The daughters of a woman fighting for life in hospital after she was stabbed, allegedly by her long-term partner, have a surprising message they want the public to hear.

Paulette Mountford, 60, is currently in intensive care at Royal Perth Hospital after she was attacked at her Gooseberry Hill home on Tuesday night.

The grandmother’s partner of 12 years, Christopher John Sullivan, 72, has been charged with attempting to unlawfully kill.

Mountford’s daughters Caroline Grant and Stephanie Mountford spoke kindly of Sullivan in an exclusive chat with 7NEWS that aired on Friday, saying he showered her with flowers and beautiful jewellery, and generally “spoilt her rotten”.

The pair don’t blame him, saying the couple loved each other and had a beautiful relationship.
