Concern for Princess Anne: Memory Loss Following Concussion

Princess Anne, sister of King Charles III, is experiencing memory loss after an accident at her Gatcombe Park estate left her hospitalized with a concussion, a royal source tells ET. Due to the concussion, she cannot recall the incident details from Sunday evening.

On Monday, Buckingham Palace confirmed the 73-year-old royal’s injuries and stated she remains at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for observation. The Palace added that she is expected to make a full and swift recovery, and King Charles, along with the Royal Family, sends their best wishes for her recovery.

Reports suggest horses were nearby during the incident, and Anne’s injuries are consistent with being struck by a horse’s leg or hoof. On Tuesday, her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, updated a well-wisher about her condition, expressing gratitude for the medical care and support they received. He also visited Anne at the hospital.

Due to the accident, Princess Anne’s upcoming engagements, including a trip to Canada, have been postponed. Before her hospitalization, Anne attended the Royal Ascot and the 2024 Trooping the Colour ceremony, where she appeared on the balcony with King Charles and other royals.
