Cleveland Clinic announces new women’s health research center [Video]

The Cleveland Clinic announced a brand-new innovative program to address unique health needs of women during midlife and beyond.

The “Women’s Comprehensive Health and Research Center” is focused on filling in gaps in what we don’t know about health concerns in women, by also providing a centralized spot to access all health services.

Journalist Maria Shriver has been working with the Cleveland Clinic in recent years putting efforts towards understanding Alzheimers.Shriver will now serve as a leader in the new women’s comprehensive center and hopes to facilitate breakthroughs in women’s health.

“I’ve always believed our nation needed a first-class comprehensive women’s health center, and now we have one,” she said. 

Reports show 80 percent of women 55 and older have at least one chronic condition.

The center will provide specialty care in behavioral health, breast health, cardiovascular care, maternal health, weight management, menopause and much more.
