Child rescued after getting stuck in chimney at Whitman home [Video]

Public safety officials in Massachusetts say a child is safe after he was briefly stuck in the top of a chimney at a Whitman home.A spokesperson for the Whitman Fire Department said a boy climbed out of a second-floor window and got up onto the roof of the Harvard Street home.The boy then maneuvered himself into the top of the chimney and got stuck, according to the spokesperson.”I was just shocked when I looked up and saw him hanging out of that chimney,” said Karen Boyd, the boy’s next-door neighbor. “It’s not like I could catch him if he fell. I mean, he was very high up on that roof.”Whitman Fire Department crews responded to the scene and the spokesperson said firefighters were able to quickly free the boy from the chimney.The child was not injured during the incident, according to officials.
