Abstract:

Cancer and cancer treatment have been associated with cognitive decline both acutely and at longer intervals post treatment. This presentation will review what is currently known about cognitive changes in the context of cancer, including neurocognitive changes, findings from structural and functional MRI, cognitive experimental measures and psychophysiological methods. Potential etiologies and mechanisms will also be reviewed together with contribution of genetic risk factors and frailty/deficit accumulation.
