Bruins goalie confident long-term deal will be reached [Video]

BRIGHTON — Jeremy Swayman will be a restricted free agent this summer. After a tough arbitration case last year, the Bruins goalie doesn’t see that happening again. When asked if he was confident a long-term deal would get done, Swayman had a simple answer.

“I am,” he said at Boston’s end-of-season media availability at Warrior Ice Arena on Sunday. “And I’m confident my agent and I and management will figure out the details this summer. And I’m looking forward to it. … It’s everything to me. It’s obvious how much I care about this organization, how much I care about this team and this city. I wouldn’t want it to be any other way.

Swayman had a strong season between the pipes for the Bruins. He amassed a 25-10-8 record — that included three shutouts — with a 2.53 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.
