Beaverton teens host 2nd year of charity concert for homeless students, Portland VA [Video]

BEAVERTON Ore. (KPTV) – A group of teenagers in Beaverton held their second annual fundraising concert on Sunday for a nonprofit that the high school students started themselves.

Funds from the charity concert ‘Music in the Valley’ will go right back into the community through the student’s nonprofit Dimple Care Foundation.

“One of the reasons we’re just so inspired, because we’re able to bring people together to unite under a single cause,” said Jacob Van, a high school senior and founder of Dimple Care.

He said it started nearly a decade ago. In 2015, an earthquake in Nepal killed nearly 9,000 and devastated homes. Jacob, alongside Nicholas and Michael Shatalov, was in elementary school. Despite their age, they felt called to help.
