BBC Question Time audience member slams Ed Davey ‘horseplay’ | Politics | News [Video]

Sir Ed Davey was put on the spot for his election campaign being “horseplay on TV” during a BBC Question Time special.

The Lib Dem leader has taken part in a series of stunts while hitting the campaign trail.

A Question Time audience member asked him: “Britain desperately needs a leader who we can respect and trust.

“Your media profile has mainly consisted of horseplay on TV. Is this prime ministerial?”

Host Fiona Bruce said: “We’re talking obviously falling off a paddleboard, going down a water slide, going on a rollercoaster. You name it, you’ve done it.”

Sir Ed replied: “I’ll come to the paddleboard in a second. I’m happy to talk through all of them and I don’t know what they’ve got in store for me afterwards I have to say.”

Laughter could be heard in the audience as Ms Bruce added: “We did wonder if you were going to paraglide in here …
