American Legion Post 15 participated in flag raising ceremony [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Wyngate Senior Living recently installed a new flag pole, and with the Fourth of July coming up next week, they reached out to the American Legion in Parkersburg about holding a ceremony.

The ceremony included folding of the flag, raising the flag, and playing of ‘To the Colors’.

American Legion Post 15 Color Guard Member Neil Dowler and Sergeant in Arms Roger Tabor share what it means to do ceremonies like this.

“It’s an honor to be able to do this and serve our country, which both of us did. It’s just an honor,” said Tabor

“It means a lot to all of the members at the post because we are here for the community, not only in this manner, but we support veterans that are in need around the community,” said Dowler.
