On Thursday at 3:45 p.m. an air quality alert was issued valid until Saturday at midnight for Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset counties.

“The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert Friday for North Central New Jersey,” states the National Weather Service.
