EMS Explorers Program lets youth see what a First Responder job is like | News [Video]

HONOLULU (Island News) – The county’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is running a summer program to give young people an idea of what being a paramedic is like. It’s the EMS Explorers Program.

This year, 13 high schoolers or recent graduates are enrolled. University Laboratory School rising senior Daniel Luis has determined already that being an Emergency Medical Technician is “a hard job in a sense, like the stuff you see and have to experience like on a daily basis.”
