My father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease in 2018, which led us onto this journey of intense research, investigation and reaching out to anyone or anything that could help him heal, improve his health and overall quality of life. Of course, my dad’s cognitive impairments and decline had started much before the time he had been diagnosed. I had started researching for resources that could help, which had been a psychologically draining exercise. On the surface, there seemed to be no hope UNTIL I found someone and something that fundamentally changed everything.
